Dynamic Speaker...Joyful Living...It's Never Too Late

Sixty Plus Date Book: Making New Friends

Sixty plus or twenty five, a girl can't have too many friends.
Making New Friends

My granddaughter went off to college last week, and the first thing she did when got to her new apartment was to displace a mouse which seemed to be living there.  She said it was so tame she could catch it by the tail to put it in a covered dish for safekeeping. She displayed it on Facebook with the title, “Making New Friends”,  Grandmother stifled the urge to tell her it was probably sick or it wouldn’t have been so easy to catch and applauded her resourcefulness.  But then I got to thinking that we’ve come to a place where our supply of new friends isn’t necessarily self renewing, and if you’re not careful you’ll come to a place where all your friends have gone on.  Even if you’re not a fan of Senior Centers, ask around and see if you can’t find a place where seniors are meeting for a class or coffee, and make it a point to join them.
