Brutus Day, the Ides of March. Not such a good day for Julius Caesar, but you know how it is. Somebody wins, Somebody et tus.
Lots of other reasons to celebrate today. For one thing, it is the birthday of my Number One Son. I was going to post an adorable baby picture of him, but the kids will just yell at me. He was much smaller when he was born, and he didn’t have a mustache at the time. Definitely a reason to celebrate. It’s amazing how these special days keep coming around!
Today is also Quilting Day. Quilting has become a very popular pastime – well, it’s always been. It’s one of those activities that has been the hall mark of Americana. The styles change though. When I was a little girl, it was Sunbonnet Girls on the quilt my mother made me. She came to be called Sunbonnet Sue later, the girl on the quilt, not my Mother, but she was just the Sun Bonnet Girl in those days. Today is also Buzzard Day (celebrate any way you like).
