It’s that time again! Coffee Chat and Change the World is here for 2026 with our January edition — just in time for Dorothy’s 92nd birthday! As you might expect, our program this month is focused on new goals and ideas for the new year. We got everyone’s thought for the day then Dorothy shared her New Year’s Resolution newspaper column to kick off everyone’s thinking.
Helena Reynolds joined us to talk about the 270th-ish birthday of founding father Alexander Hamilton. We heard updates from Bill Lewis on his recent protest activities against corporate control held in Boston over the holidays.
Sandra Solon, the Crafty Canadian, showed us a fun and inexpensive activity that has been around for centuries: making clothing and figures out of felt using a technique called needle felting.
And we end the show with Gina Wilhelm and Friends (the puppets) singing “Together” from the Broadway show “Gypsy.”
