MARCH 1 – HORSE PROTECTION DAY, PIG DAY AND FOUR MORE

March 1, 2014 By Dorothy Wilhelm

LOTS OF REASONS TO CELEBRATE TODAY.

Today we have six days to celebrate.,  Frankly I think this is excessive, but here goes,

1) It’s Horse Protection Day.  I guess my best stab at protecting a horse would be to dress it In a housecoat and hide it in the spare room. This is really not funny, of course, because many horses are mistreated, and wild horse herds are due to be thinned. I’m not personally on great terms with any horses, but they are gorgeous creatures as these wild mustangs captured by famed Western photographer, Molly Morrow.  You can’t look at them and not want to see them protected.

While we’re at it, we should remember Sea Horses

and Carousel Horses.  I would be for protecting Sea Horses because the Daddy

carries and gives birth to the little baby sea horses.  I like that in a male. Defiance Park in Tacoma, WA.  Today is also Pig Day so let’s salute Priscilla Pig\, seen here on one of her famous shopping trips.  Well, girls, you know.  We did a show with Priscilla and I visited her home. Unknown-1 She had a beautiful canopy bed in her own room on the second floor of her owners home in Gig Harbor, WA. “She built this house. She certainly deserves her own room,” that lady said.

March 1 is also Executive Coaching Day, Plan Your Solo Vacation Day, World Compliment Day, and Fruit Compote Day.  Fruit Compote is just a fancy way of serving fruit salad, so we could eat our fruit with Priscilla Pig, while saying “You look Marvelous, Darling.”  Then, give her a ticket to an Executive Coaching Conference, and you’ve got it all taken care of.
